MY TAKE:
I am a big fan of Archie and his friends so this book was a must-buy for me.

The Best of Archie Comics Book 2 includes some of the best Archie comics that have been published since the '40s. This includes not only the comics about Archie and his friends, but also those featuring other characters published under Archie Comics Publication.

I'm not really a fan of the other Archie Comics characters so I didn't appreciate them as much. I would have preferred for there to be more comics about Archie and his friends than by the other characters like Ginger and Katy Keene. I didn't grow up reading them so I couldn't really get into them.

I've already read a few of the comics, especially some of the newer ones. My favorite is still the Betty and Veronica strip Little Miss Fixit. The strip was published in 1971, and though most people from the younger generation probably won't relate to it, I definitely enjoy Betty's win over Veronica. Since I'm a Lord of the Rings fan, I also liked the Jughead strip Rings and Things.

THE GOOD:

  1. You get the best of old and new Archie comics.
  2. Most of the stories are funny as ever.
  3. There's something for everyone.

THE BAD:

  1. If you aren't a fan of the other Archie comics, you might not enjoy some of the comics.

FAVORITE QUOTE/S:
Mmm! This looks delicious! Cornish hen, bread, and fresh vegetables!
READ IT IF:

  1. You like Archie comics.
  2. You like comic anthologies.
  3. You appreciate comics from any decade.
