MY TAKE:
I read a few of the Cozy Classics books before and I knew I just had to read this one too.

In Cozy Classics: The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, the story of Tom Sawyer is condensed into just a few words that represent important scenes in the book. The pictures make use of tiny dolls that show the scene the word is supposed to represent.

Just like with the other books, I liked this one as well. I particularly like the use of the novel's first page in the background of the first included image. The chosen words do represent some key scenes, so kids might get the gist of the story.

These books are a great way to introduce kids to new words and it may help them remember the words better if they associate pictures with the words. These books are a good book to read aloud to toddlers and younger children, but if you don't really know the original novel, you may have a hard time telling older kids what exactly happens in the included scenes.

Thanks to NetGalley and Simply Read Books for the e-ARC. Publication date of Cozy Classics: The Adventures of Tom Sawyer is on May 23, 2014.
